The Kentucky Early Intervention System (KEIS) is a statewide program that provides early intervention services and support to eligible infants and toddlers, birth to age three, who have developmental delays or disabilities and their families. KEIS is Kentucky’s response to the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part C Infant-Toddler Program and is designed to help young children develop and learn while supporting families in their important role as their child’s first and most important teacher.
KEIS provides individualized, family-centered services based on each child’s unique strengths and needs. Services may include speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, developmental intervention, nutrition services, and other supports.
